1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your device. They can remember a setting for your next visit, keep a session working or record how a site is used. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels and tracking scripts — do comparable things, and everything in this policy applies to them too.
A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser. A persistent cookie stays until it expires or you delete it. A first-party cookie is set by this website; a third-party cookie is set by another organisation whose content or script is loaded on a page.
2. How we ask for consent
When you first visit nexplex.co.uk you are shown a cookie banner. Until you make a choice, we set no cookies other than strictly necessary ones and load no analytics or marketing scripts. Rejecting non-essential cookies takes exactly one click, the same as accepting them, and nothing about the site works differently if you refuse.
We record your choice in a single first-party cookie so that we do not have to ask again on every page. That record lasts 12 months, after which the banner reappears so you can confirm or change your decision. You can also change it yourself at any time — see Changing your choices.
We do not treat continued scrolling, closing the banner or inactivity as consent, and we do not use cookie walls.
3. Cookie categories
Strictly necessary (always active)
Needed for the website to work and to remember your cookie choices. These cookies do not track you across websites and cannot be switched off, because the site cannot be provided without them. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they are exempt from the consent requirement.
Analytics (consent required)
Help us understand which pages, sectors and roles visitors are interested in, so we can improve the site. We use this only in aggregate and never to identify or contact you. No analytics cookie is set unless you opt in.
Marketing (consent required)
Let us measure the performance of our recruitment campaigns and show relevant roles to professional audiences on other platforms. No marketing cookie or pixel is loaded unless you opt in.
4. Cookies we use
| Name | Category | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
nexplex_consent |
Strictly necessary | Nexplex Ltd (first party) | Stores which cookie categories you accepted or rejected, and when, so we can honour your choice and evidence it. | 12 months |
That is currently the only cookie this website sets. We run no analytics or advertising tags today. The analytics and marketing categories exist so that, if we do add such a tool in future, it can only ever run after you have opted in — and this table will be updated before it goes live.
Our contact form
The enquiry form on our home page is handled by Netlify Forms, our hosting provider’s form service. Submitting it does not set a cookie. The details you send are stored so a consultant can reply and are kept for 12 months, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Our host also keeps short-lived server and security logs, which include IP addresses, to protect the site against abuse.
5. Changing your choices
You can review or change your cookie choices whenever you like:
- Select here, or use the same link in the footer of any page.
- Turn a category off and save — we delete the cookies in that category and stop loading its scripts.
- Delete cookies in your browser, which clears our record and brings the banner back on your next visit.
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it has no effect on the processing we carried out while your consent was in place.
6. Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and some offer a private-browsing mode that discards them automatically. You will find these settings in the privacy section of your browser’s preferences; the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox each describe the steps for that browser. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of some websites working — on this site the only consequence is that we cannot remember your cookie choice.
Our website also respects your browser’s standard privacy settings. If you have any doubt about what is stored on your device, you can inspect and clear the cookies for nexplex.co.uk directly in your browser.
7. Third parties
We do not currently allow third parties to set cookies through this website, and we do not sell or share cookie data for cross-context behavioural advertising. Our fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third-party font network, so no request leaves our site to load them.
Our website is hosted on Netlify, which acts as our processor and may set a strictly necessary cookie if a platform feature such as traffic splitting is enabled. If that ever applies, this policy will list it.
